To assist members with their research into their ancestors and and early Melbourne we have proved in two parts the Chronicles of Early Melbourne by Edmund Finn or ‘Garryowen’. It is a series of personal recollections and anecdotes covering the period 1835 to 1852 by someone who was a witness to them. Often partisan it is nonetheless an invaluable source.
